Beverley Mirando (Director)
is a lawyer by training and has held numerous leadership roles in Sri Lanka, the UK and Singapore within the functions of legal, intellectual property, corporate affairs / communications and in the field of compliance.
On retiring in 2017, she joined Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation (LAF) as a board member, to give her expertise voluntarily to the community. Her main responsibility on the board is to liaise with Alzheimer’s disease International and to manage the administrative & HR functions to ensure the smooth running of LAF.
Her time in Singapore, managing teams in a number of countries in South-East Asia with people of different skillsets provides her with an appreciation of working with people from different backgrounds & experiences. It helps her in supporting and working with the members of the Elders & Women’s Organizations in the community to achieve the goal of raising awareness about dementia, reducing stigma and providing support for persons with dementia and their caregivers.
