Activity Centre welcomes the Sinhala and Tamil New Year with clients where they participate in traditional games like kana muttiya, ( where you hit a pot hung overhead with a pole while blindfolded) pinning the eye on the elephant and similar games and finish up with milk rice and the local sweetmeats that clients enjoy very much. At Christmas, family carers and the wider LAF family including the board of directors join in the Annual Christmas Party we hold for clients. These are events that are much looked forward to and remembered by a section of the clients long after the event. Events such as these bring the inner child in our clients and the joy and happiness they display is so heartwarming.
