Memory Walk is an important annual event of LAF conducted from the year 2002 to date continuously. During the COVID pandemic, LAF converted the physical walk to a virtual walk to keep dementia awareness in the forefront and to let persons with dementia and their family carers know that they are not forgotten and not alone. The event draws together people young and old, both regular and new, to publicise the cause in Colombo’s streets. Cinnamon Grand, Colombo has been supportive of this initiative from the inception of the Walk.
